The VISTA and the MOUNTAIN are unsupported bikepacking routes. The VISTA has some of the best singletrack, vistas, gravel, and tarmac that Cherokee National Forest and the surrounding area have to offer.
The MOUNTAIN is an expanded version of the VISTA. It departs the Cherokee National forest and ventures deep into the Cohutta's and Chattahoochee National Forest. Spanning several mountain ranges and watersheds, both of these routes show the true beauty of the area.
You can ride these routes anytime. The Grand Depart is only a suggested time to ride with other riders in an unsupported, single-stage format where the clock does not stop and there are no prizes.
2020 will be the year for the MOUNTAIN to shine.

These routes are not easy, but that’s what makes the journey to conquer them even better.
